What are IMAGINE Outreach Services?
IMAGINE Outreach Services are special fund allocations granted for the purpose of filling the gaps often left for children and adults with disabilities. Even those who receive supportive services from agencies like Imagine the Possibilities are left with needs that cannot be met through more traditional funding streams. IMAGINE Outreach Services provide money to access activities, equipment and services designed to fill these gaps.
How are IMAGINE Outreach services developed?
Through many years of providing services to children and adults with disabilities, Imagine the Possibilities has become keenly aware of those areas where additional funding is needed. We use this knowledge and experience to put together funding programs that are offered with the highest efficiency possible.
What types of things are funded through Outreach?
IMAGINE Outreach services currently include the following funding programs:
- Special Olympics
- Challenger Little League
- Respite Care
- IMAGINE Community Center
- Consumer Assistance (for those accessing greater levels of independence)
- Christmas gifts
- Other special gifts and grants
How are IMAGINE Outreach Services funded?
IMAGINE Outreach Services are funded completely by a generous grant from United Way of Mahaska County.
Who is eligible for IMAGINE Outreach Services?
In order to be eligible to receive funding from Imagine Outreach, the requesting party must qualify under one of the following categories:
- Diagnosed Mental Retardation or other Developmental Disability
- Diagnosed Chronic Mental Illness
- Diagnosed Physical Disability
- Diagnosed Brain Injury
How are IMAGINE Outreach Services accessed?
Application for assistance is made in person at the Imagine the Possibilities Administrative Office.
